Deion Sanders Undergoes Bladder Surgery, Declared Cancer-Free Boulder, Colorado — Deion Sanders, head coach of the University of Colorado Boulder football team and former NFL star, has revealed that he underwent bladder removal surgery in May following a cancer diagnosis. The announcement was made during a news conference on Monday, where doctors confirmed Sanders is now free of cancer. The discovery of the tumour came during a routine health check-up, prompting immediate medical intervention. According to Dr. Janet Kukreja, a urologist at the University of Colorado, the tumour was classified as a “high-grade, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer,” placing Sanders at high risk.
